During the early days of the Israeli Arabs conflict, Israel was quick to violate the 1925 with Operation Cast Thy Bread, where the IDF poisoned Arabs wells. Packets were put together by Haganah, of Typhoid bacteria. This was in an effort to make it difficult for the Arabs to retake their land, while also scaring the Arabs.

While the operation was secret, many Israelis have come forward to comment on the operation saying how it did not achieve the desired result, that they were hoping for. While this operation was unsuccessful, it was Israel’s first attempt at biological warfare, which would become one of their signature styles of attacks.
