John Patler

John Patler was the man who killed George Lincoln Rockwell with his life being violent from the start. His first encounter with murder, was when his father killed his mother, when John was only five. Early on in life he was involved in crime, and was later diagnosed with multiple mental problems, such as paranoia, delusions and observation of violent tendencies. He served in the marines and was also briefly associated with the National Renaissance Party.

In was in 1958 that Patler met George Lincoln Rockwell neo-Nazi National Youth League. Through 1960 Patler kept growing his relationship with Rockwell. While Patler was part of the American Nazi Party, he was known to be very manipulative. He was known to have been always building and forging secret alliances. He was also very close to Dan Burros, a secret Jew inside the neo-Nazi movement.

On July 26, 1960, Patler and Burros vandalized the Anti-Defamation League headquarters in New York City, for which they were both arrested. While detained he threated to rat out other members of the American Nazi party, if they didn’t pay his bond, which they didn’t.  Oddly enough Patler’s wife was able to raise the fund necessary for the bond, from a Jewish bondsman.

Patler, was kicked out of the American Nazi Party, after he and Burros were rumored to always being scheming, and accusing members of being Jewish spies, even though the group had their own Jewish connections. Later Patler was invited back into the American Nazi Party thanks to Rockwell. After he rejoined, he acted as Rockwell, becoming very close to him. However, their relationship was odd. Patler would oscillate his communication and opinion of Rockwell from being hateful, to beginning for forgiveness. He seemed to worship Rockwell in a seemingly homosexual way. There is also a rumor that Rockwell slept with Patler wife. Patler was very manipulative.

August 25, 1967, Rockwell was shot by Patler while using a Mauser C96. Patler was tried and found guilty, where he was sentenced to 20 years, but got parole and served only 8. Maintaining his innocence to this day.

Later on in life he would go on to denounce racism and the nazi movement, like Frank Meeink did. It’s weird that the same man who killed Rockwell, was also friends with Dan Burros, who knew Lee Harvey Oswald. Maybe Patler was set up to be a patsy as well, or maybe he was connected to something more secretive.
