Congo

Congo has always been an area of the globe were human right abuses seemed common play. Congo was first colonized, by Belgium, and was regarded as a very wealthy country due to its mineral resources. King Leopold II of Belgium was the one owner of the whole country and ran the Congo with a brutalist regime. Congo might of gain independence, but it’s still under a brutalist regime.

In 1958 the Republic of Congo, had their first democratically elected leader, Patrice Lumumba. Lumumba was very much aligned with the Soviets, not because of the communist ideology, but because the Soviet Union seemed to be the only country that supported his Congolese government, without the US involvements. This made him a target for the CIA.

During the 1960’s the CIA and America backed Joseph Mobutu, with a coup and helping them capture Patrice Lumuba. Lumuba claimed over the radio that he was trying to launch a peaceful revolution, but his revolution was one of the most brutal that the world has ever seen. Mobutu also made strong ties with Israel as well, with Israel helping train his bodyguards, while also using IDF as his own military advisers, for his own coup. After Mobutu became president, his rule was nothing like he promised, his reign was full of public executions, embezzlement, and corrupt contracts.

Even today Congo is still a very corrupt and evil place, with its vast number of resources being control by people outside the country. Instead of King Leopold II owning the mine, now it is Den Gertler is Israeli billionaire who runs mines today. Recently Gertler got into trouble for human right violation. Donald Trump helps him out, thanks to lobbying from Alan Dershowitz who is Jeffery Epstein Lawyer. While Dan Gertler runs inhumane mining operations, his website promotes a message about Gertler working towards peace in Congo.

This is just a sample of how Israel uses US backed coups to gain power and influence. Once they have it, they always say how they are trying to be moral, but with the Congo, it is easy to see through their lies.
