MKUltra was an American mind control program that utilized drugs as a form of mind control, which ran from 1953 to 1973. The most famous drug that was administered to test was LSD, with many of the test subjects being drugged without even knowing it. Not only were these tests limited to drugging, but also electroshocks, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, verbal and sexual abuse, and other forms of torture, where used on the test subjects as well. They also tested ways to lie to targets. This was in an effort to create mind control programs to use, both against the Eastern Bloc, and citizens of the host country.

While MKUltra is famous because of the programs use of narcotic and psychedelics, other drugs that where tested are lesser known, and would soon make their way into the American pharmaceuticals and food supply.
